Portland Review - June 7, 1993

Viola Smith, 102, of Portland died May 21, 1993, in Lansing.

She was born in Hart on Oct. 9, 1890, the daughter of William and Lillian (Hay) 
Skinner.

Surviving are her son, C. Gordon Smith of Cheboygan; sister, Irene Blume of 
Portland; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude.

Services were held May 24, at Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland, with 
Rev. Terry Coursey of the Portland Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh Day Adventist Church in Portland.
