Ionia Daily Standard, 11 Mar 1901

The remains of Edwin Smith will be brought to this city from Greenville, on
Tuesday morning, for interment.  Deceased was a brother of Thos. E. Smith of
South Ionia, from whose home the funeral will be attended.  He was aged 69
years, and was a long time resident of Ionia up to 15 years ago.  Interment in
Oak Hill.
