Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Mar 1968

Francis Calvin Smith, 41, died suddenly at his home at 454 East Main Tuesday
evening.  He was born November 27, 1926 in Ionia county the son of Altie Smith
and Esther Elliott Smith.  He attended Ionia public schools and lived in the
area most of his life.  A carpenter by trade, he was also a veteran of World War
II and the Korean campaign.  May 8, 1954 he was married in Cadillace to Irma
Scheiern who survives.

He also leaves a son Michael and two daughters, Laura and Julia all at home;
mother, Mrs. Esther Smith of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Zola Andersen and Mrs.
Ruby Greenhoe of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with temporary
entombment in Balcom cemetery.
