Clara Sebring Smith, 77, of Orleans died Friday at the Big Rapids hospital.  
She was born December 23, 1898 in Saranac, but has been a resident of the 
Orleans area for the past five yars, and was formerly from Sheridan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Smith, in 1974.  Four sons 
also preceded her in death.  She was a member of the Palo Rebekah Lodge No. 389.

Surviving are three sons, Richard Raymond of Lansing; Ralph and John Raymond of 
Belding; two daughter, Mrs. Nellie Hayes of Hubbardston and Mrs. Tom Francis 
Leonard of Nashville, Michigan; 30 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one 
sister, Mrs. Retha Rogers of Evans Lake; three brothers, Charles Miller of 
Orleans; Monte Miller of Saranac; and Clifford Miller of Lansing.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m.at the Stebbins-Simpson funeral home in 
Sheridan.  Rev. Kenneth Harger will officiate.  Friends and relative may call 
at the funeral home Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 
7-8:30 p.m.  Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery in Sheridan.
