Charles F. Smith, 45, of Belding, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 11, 
2004.  Charles was born in Greenville on November 5, 1959 to Claud and 
Geraldine Ward Smith.  He was raised in the Belding area and attended Belding 
Schools. His many hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Claud.  Charles is survived by his 
mother, Geraldine; three sons, Frank White, Tim White, Charles F. Smith, all of 
Belding; two daughters, Sherry Smith of Belding, Stevie Castleberry of Battle 
Creek; four grandchildren; two brothers, Daryl and Norman Smith, both of 
Belding; three sisters and their husbands, Karen and Floyd Wireman, Kathy and 
Ron Devereaux, all of Belding, Sharon Johnson of Cedar Springs; and several 
nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Huffman-Brigham Funeral Chapel, 
Belding, with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 
7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made 
to the family.
