Smith, 76, of Greenville died Wednesday evening, August 23, 2006, at Metron of Greenville Nursing Home. Lloyd was born on April 17, 1930, in Lakeview, the son of Milford and Myrtle Willett Smith. Lloyd proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 5065 in Sheridan and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville. He was married on May 28, 1960, in Kent City to Doris Burgess. He was preceded by his parents, two sisters, Glea and Evelyn; three brothers, Charles, Basil and Forrest. He is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Forrest and Lisa Smith of Paris, Byron and Claudia Smith of Jackson, Martin and Amy Smith of Sylacauga, Ala., Joy Skutt of Belding, Roger and Victoria Smith of Delton; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and brother, Gordon Smith of Sheridan. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Clay Bates of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will full military honors will follow in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding, Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Activities Fund of Metron of Greenville.
