All Hubbardston was saddened by the sudden death of Mrs. William Smith which 
occurred Tuesday evening.  Mrs. Smith had been in rather poor health for some 
time, but her death was due to heart failure.  It was a keen shock to the 
community.  She was 62 years old and had for more than 30 years been a resident 
of this vicinity.  During that time because of her charm and sweetness she 
endeared herself to all who knew her.  She was an ardent member of the M. E. 
church and a whole hearted worker in all community affairs.  Sympathy of all 
Hubbardston is extended to the bereaved family.  She is survived by her 
husband, two daughters, Helen and Majorie and two sons, Harold and Maurice. 

Funeral services were held from the M. E. church Thursday afternoon.  Rev. 
James Brown officiating.  Interment took place in the West Side cemetery.
