Becky Lou Smith, 46, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at her
home.  She was born July 30, 1962, in Belding, the daughter of Howard P. and
Edith (VanVlerah) Haines.  She was a former employee of the Greenville Daily News.

Becky is survived by her husband, Stan; mother, Edith Haines of Sheridan;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Mike) VaiVada of Newago, Anna K. Sinclair of
Greenville, Sue VanOrder of Cedar Springs, Paula R. (James) Proctor of Sheridan;
many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; and her in-laws, Virginia
C. Bignell, Sandra Houghton, both of Ionia, Ronald (Bertha) Smith of Grand
Ledge, Gary (OhSue) Smith and Melody (Randy) Treynor, all of Belding.  She is
preceded in death by her father, Howard Haines; brother-in-law, Larrie Smith;
and her father-and mother-in-law, Icylene and Neil Smith.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Sheridan Community
Church.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements are by the Marshall Funeral
Home, Greenville.
