Marjorie Smith, 90, of Holt, formerly of Greenville, loving mother and
grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005.  She was born
May 11, 1915, in Palo, the daughter of John E. and Mabel E. Kendall Whitmore.  

Marjorie was a member of the Greenville United Methodist Church and the
Homemakers Class for 57 years and was a life member of the Thalia Club.  She was
employed at United Memorial Hospital from 1965 to 1977 in the physical therapy
department and she enjoyed her life, her family and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack K. Smith, on June 18,
2000; her parents; one sister; and four brothers.  She will be greatly missed by
daughters, Kathleen and Jay Seat, Jane and Steve Green, Jennifer and Gary
Baragar; grandchildren, Karen Harrington, Susan and Mark Borden, Sara and Nelson
Boyd, Angie and Mike Rosenbaum, Eric Green, Jeremy and Shannon Baragar, Jason
Baragar; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Bill Whitmore; sister,
Mary Louise Jones; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at Holt United Methodist Church, 2321 N.
Aurelius Road, with the Rev. Lynn E. Grimes officiating.  Interment is in Rest
Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m.
today at Estes-Leadley Holt-Delhi Chapel, Holt.  Memorial contributions may be
made to Holt United Methodist Church, where she currently was a member, 2321 N.
Aurelius Road, Holt, Mich., 48842, in memory of Marjorie Smith.
