Kenneth LeGrand Smith of Mulliken passed away Wednesday June 26, 2013 
surrounded by his loving family, at Eaton Community Palliative Care in 
Charlotte, Michigan, at the age of 85. Kenneth was born December 6, 1927 in 
Hastings, Michigan, the son of Calvin L. and Stella (Carter) Smith.

Mr. Smith was a WWII Navy Veteran, a member of American Legion Post 129 in 
Portland, a past Boy Scout Leader in Sunfield for over 20 years, and he loved 
fishing and hunting. He retired from Garlocks International in Grand Ledge as a 
mechanic.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Doris in 1999, sister 
Marilyn, brothers Carlton and Roger, sister Della, and brother-in-law Doug.

Surviving are his wife Darlene of Mulliken; son Curtis Smithy; step-children 
Jerry (Kris) Binns, Vicki (Paul) Black, and Sandy Brown; sisters Beverly 
(Clayton) Townsend of Bath, Donna Green of Chase, Mary (Ray) Dykhouse of Lake 
Odessa, and Elaine Smith of Lake Odessa; brothers Tom (Dorene) Smith of 
Clarksville, and Calvin (Alice) Smith Jr. of Ohio; many grandchildren; and 
nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care in memory of 
Kenneth L. Smith, c/o RFH, PO Box 36, Sunfield, Michigan 48890.

Military graveside services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday July 9th, 2013 at 
Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery. Express your thoughts and memories in the
