She is survived by her husband, Garner Smith; one son, Olin of Lyons; one daughter, Mrs. A.W. Merlan of Kansas City, Missouri, a brother, Silas Billings of Floodwood, Minnesota; and a half sister, Mrs. A.E. Faxon of Lyons. She was born in Michigan and was married to Garner Smith, June 17, 1908 at Stanton by the Rev. H.A. Eessex. They lived on a farm in Bushnell and later moved to Muir and then to Lyons where they have resided for 23 years. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Lyons Baptist church and aid society and a member of WRC. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lyons Baptist church with the Rev. E.S. Mercer officiating.
