North Side Notes - The death of Miss Lida Smith which occurred Tuesday forenoon
has cast a gloom in many households.  She was taken sick Decoration Day with
quinsy which developed into tonsillitis and later into diphtheria.  Lida was
fourteen years old and beloved by her many young associates.  She attended day
school and also the M.E. Sunday school and was a bright scholar.  Her burial at
night on the same day of her death, seemed extremely sad.  The sympathy of all
are with the family in their deep affliction.
