Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Mar 1965

Mrs. Alice E. Smith, 82, died Sunday afternoon at her residence, 129 Arnold
street.  She was born February 7, 1883 at Crystal Lake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William Allen and had lived in Ionia since her marriage in 1920 to Richard Smith.

Surviving are her husband and one son, Vern J. Brockman of Ionia; two brothers,
Earl Allen of Sunfield and Lyle of Ionia; also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Allen
of Ionia; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Boynton funeral home with the
Rev. Ray R. Fassett of Zion Evangelical United Brethren church officiating and
burial at Highland Park cemetery.
