Harold, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Smith, aged 3 years, departed this life, August 26th, after a painful illness of one week. He was a bright and loving child, idolized by parents and grandfather, who have the sympathy of the community in their sad affliction. The funeral was largely attended, being held from the house Monday, August 28, Rev. N.E. Gibbs officiating. Mrs. Addie Sessions and son, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cutler of Carson City, Mrs. Silas Smith, of Lakeview, Will Smith of Detroit, and Miss Orpha Luscombe and mother of Greenville were here to attend the funeral. ------------ Harold Smith, the bright and active little 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Stowell J. Smith, was buried Monday after having died after a short illness of cholera infantum. He was the joy and light of the household, and the parents are full of grief over their sad loss. The funeral was held at the home of its grandfather, Thos. Neap, who was sick in bed. Rev. N.E. Gibbs of Orleans gave comforting words in a good sermon.
