Ionia Sentinel - Thursday, Oct. 4, 1900

Orlando Smith of North Bushnell, is having a sad time with scarlet fever in his 
family. One, a bright girl of seven has died, others are sick, but hopes are 
entertained that they will come out all right. Mrs. Smith is the only daughter 
of Chas. Kerby.


Thursday, November 8, 1900

Hazel M. Smith, daughter of Orlando and Ellen Smith, of Bushnell, was born 
September 12, 1803, and died September 25, 1900. She died with scarlet fever. 
Funeral services conducted by Rev. D.H. Shelly.
