Daily Sentinel-Standard, Mon., July 24, 1961
Service for Mrs. Helen Smith, 49, of route one, was conducted Saturday at First 
Christian church. Mrs. Smith died Thursday at Ionia County Memorial hospital. 
The Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiated and interment was in the family lot at 
Palo cemetery. 

Bears were Howard Ransom, Leslie Stedman, Max Johnson, Clare Johnson, Frank 
Johnson, and Dale Johnson

Out of town persons attended from Three Rivers, Belding, Lake Odessa, 
Greenville, Vickeryville, Palo, Cedar Springs, Rockford, California and 
Wisconsin.
