Sentinel-Standard - Friday, April 29, 1973

Mrs. Beulah E. Smith, 67, of 536 Nicholson died Wednesday evening at St. 
Lawrence hospital in Lansing, after a short illness.

Born July 23, 1905, in Easton township, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
George Montgomery. She attended the Welch school and after moving to Ionia with 
her parents attended school here.

She was employed many years at the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture Company. In 1925 
she was married to Charles Ogden who died in October of 1963.

She was married in Lansing to Raymond Smith in 1965 and he died in 1968. Two 
sons also preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, George Ogden of Ionia, Terry of Palo and Teddy of 
Pontiac; three daughters, Mrs. Janet LaPointe of Clarkston, Mrs. Joyce Noggle 
of Walled Lake and Mrs. Judy Nelson of Ionia; 18 grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren; brother, Charlie Montgomery of Ionia; four sisters, Mrs. Nina 
Fredriksen of Ionia, Mrs. Lillian Speckin of Lansing, Mrs. Nellie Davis of 
Amble and Mrs. Gladys Ogden of Ionia. 

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 pm at Myers-Roetman funeral home. Rev. 
Marvis Hale will officiate and interment will be at Easton cemetery.
