Daily Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1928

The funeral services for Melvin L. Smith were held Tuesday at 2:30 from the 
North Plains Union church with Rev. Herbert G. Hurrell in charge and the North 
Plains choir giving the music. the bearers were Fred Gibbons, Hiram Crandell, 
Herman Zander and Arthur Knapp. The burial took place in the North Plains 
cemetery.
