MRS. ROSE P. SMITH
Mrs. Rose P. Smith, 71, died Monday at Ovid convalescent home where she had been a 
patient two days. Previously she was a resident of route 2, Portland

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Altar Society and St. Patrick's Church.

Surviving are her husband, Nick A. Smith; two sons, Carl P. Smith and Richard J.
Smith of Portland; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Kramer and Mrs. Lucille M. Fedewa of Fowler
and Mrs. Harriet Pohl of Pewamo; 26 grandchildren; three brothers, Louis Pohl of Fowler
and Julius Pohl and John Pohl of Westphalia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ferguson of Fenton
and Theresa Hengesbach of Westphalia.

Rosary will be recited at Neller funeral home Wednesday evening at 8:15 p.m. Funeral
services will be held at St. Patrick's church Thursday at 9:30 a.m.

Bearers will be Michael Smith, Kenneth Smith, Charles Smith, Leonard Pohl, Reynold 
Hengesbach and Roman Pohl.

Fr. Louis Anderson will officiate with burial in Portland cemetery.
