FRANK R. SMITH
Frank R. Smith, 74, of R. I, Grand Ledge, passed away Monday (May 1) at the Eaton
County medical Care Facility in Charlotte after a long illness.

A retired farmer, Mr. Smith was a member of the West Lansing Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Norah; three sons, Raymond of Grand Ledge, Donald of 
Charlotte and James of Lapeer; two daughters, Mrs. Marian Thorpe of Flint and Mrs.
Jane Ann Carpenter of Dimondale; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Peters and Murray
funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with the Rev. Walter Klages of West Lansing Church of Christ 
officiating. Pastor carl Carpenter of the Dimondale Baptist church and Eugene Thorpe
of Flint were to assist. Interment was to be in lakeside cemetery, lake Odessa.
