Services Fri. for Homer E. Smith
Homer E. Smith 76, passed away Wednesday morning at the Provincial House at Hastings
where he had been a patient since March 17, 1975.

He was born April 14, 1899 in lake Odessa, the son of Wilbur and Mertie (Stairs)
Smith and was a lifelong resident of the area. He resided on the farm in Carlton township,
Barry county and retired in 1971.

Surviving are a brother, Leo Church of Hastings; two sisters, Mrs. George (Hazel)
Keeler of Hastings, and Mrs. Retha Schieb of Wayland; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith reposes at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at  Lake Odessa where funeral
service will be held at 1:30 Friday. Rev. Gary Evans will officiate with burial in
lakeside cemetery.
