ROBERT LARRY SMITH
Robert Larry Smith, age 54 of Ionia passed away Aug. 10, 2016. He was born in 
Ionia, MI on Nov. 21, 1961 the son of Roy and Virginia (Ritenburgh) Smith. He 
was a graduate of Ionia High School Class of 1980. Robert married Amy Strickling 
on Oct. 3, 1980 in Ionia. He received a kidney transplant and survived on 
dialysis for 10 years before passing away. Robert is survived by his wife, Amy 
Smith of Ionia,MI; bothers, Roger (Toni) Smith of Ionia, MI, and Randy (Sue) 
Smith of Ionia, MI; sisters, Donna Yeoman of Bath, MI and Joyce (Ron) Spangler, 
of lake City, MI; father-in-law, John Strickling of Florida; and many nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Thelma Strickling.
