JESSICA SMITH 1982-2017
 Jessica L. Balver Smith, age 34, of Lake Odessa passed away peacefully after 
a 15-month courageous battle with leukemia. Jessica was born on July 20, 1982 
to Mike & Michelle (Lewis) Smith.

Jessica inspired many people throughout her life to become better 
individuals. She had a giving heart always accepting people as they were.

Over the years, Jessica with her generous ways opened her heart and home to 
others who had found themselves in need of a place to stay. Her strong will 
and strength gave her the ability to face challenges in life and became an 
example for others to follow.

Jessica's love and devotion to her children and to her family is a shining 
example for all to follow. Her beautiful children always made her so proud.

Jessica is survived by her five angels; sons, Isac, Armando, Jonathan, 
daughter Raeleigh and Alina; father and step mother, Mike and Julie Smith; 
sister, Jodi Smith, Tim (Thana) Smith, finance' Agustin-Ortuno-Juarez; 
grandfather, Michael S. Smith; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins 
and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle Lewis Smith 
when she was six; grandparents, Carl and Mary Lee Lewis, Helen Smith; and 
step-grandmother, Eva Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, may 17, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Koops 
Funeral Chapels in lake Odessa, Mi. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. 
Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Koop Funeral Chapel with burial taking place a 
Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. Memorials can be given to the family to 
help with her children c/o Mike or Julie Smith.
