Excerpts from Obituary:
MARY ANN SMITH of Pewamo
Died Tuesday, November 14, 2017-age 97
Born May 9, 1920 the daughter of John and Anne (Schneider) Thelen.
Preceded her in death were her parents, husband, Albert Smith of 62 years, 2 
brothers and 8 sisters.
Surviving by her 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one 
great-great-granddaughter, and sister-in-law.
Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic 
church, Pewamo, celebrated by Fr. Darrel Kempf at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation on Thursday from 2-9 p.m.a t St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 
Westphalia. Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 
Thank You to the caring staff at Independence Village of Grand Ledge and 
Compassus Palliative care for taking wonderful care of Mary.
