Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, April 7, 1949

Funeral services for Bernard F. Smith, Route 2, were held from SS. Peter and 
Paul church Wednesday morning with the Rev. Fr. John S. Fons officiating. Prayer 
services were held at his farm home earlier that morning. Interment was in Mt. 
Olivet cemetery.

Mr. Smith died at Clinton County Memorial hospital in St. Johns Monday at 2:20 
a.m. 

His bearers were Fred Barnes, William Smith, Michael Wizorek, Albert Slowinski, 
Leo Costello and Frank Banhagel.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Leo Costello and Mrs. Charles Lange.

Those attending his services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. John Boss of 
Detroit, Mrs. Lyle Dunn of Nashville, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davenport and family of 
Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Dimondale, Mr. and Mrs. William Martin of 
St. Johns, Mrs. Bertha Blanck and Mrs. Anna Kline and family of Lansing, Charles 
Hermans of Kalamazoo, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith and Mrs. Ray Smith of Grand 
Ledge, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Verporter of Grandville, Mrs. Frank Schrauwen and 
family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Glovick of Grand Rapids, Mrs. John Molhoek and 
Mrs. Richard Myers of Coopersville, Miss Jennie Tallman of Grand Rapids and Mr. 
and Mrs. Albert Hermans and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Kline of Lowell.
