Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1960

Funeral service for Wellington C. Smith, 77, was conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at 
LeValley Methodist church with the Rev. Donald T. Meikle and Elder Charles Wade 
officiating. 

Organist was Mrs. Frank Stout, and Mrs. William Weisgerber and Mrs. Erwin Heator 
were in charge of flowers.

Bearers were Arthur Rumbaugh, Erwin Heator, William Weisgerber, Fay Nash, 
William Larson and Clarence Rudd. Burial was at Balcom cemetery.

Out of town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. Athol Dygert and family, Mr. and 
Mrs. Herman Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Dessie Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith and Mrs. 
B.J. Hicks of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Smith of Miami, Fla.; Mr. and 
Mrs. Charles Wade and Lester Wade of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. George Uschuck of 
Dewitt, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Vogg of Stanwood and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Chamberlain 
of Indiana.
