Strachan, was held Sunday afternoon and interment was made a Snow's Corners burying ground. Mrs. Smith, whose maiden name was Sarah Leona Adams, was born at Ashtabula, O., in 1836, and at the age of 18 was married to Howard Allen. to this union was born four children, all of whom are deceased, except Mrs. Strachan. In 1866 they family moved to Snow's Corners, where they lived until Mr. Allen's death. Mrs. Smith, who has since made her home with her children , was a woman of exemplary Christian character and of rare literary attainments. Her greatest enjoyment during the later years of her life was found in good literature, and the morning of her last day was spent enjoying the repetition of a poem and in enjoying the reading of several others. She will be greatly missed by those who appreciated her rare gifts and spirit.
