She was born February 21, 1939 in Marion Township, Ohio, the daughter of Randolph and Betty Jane (Manns) Patrick. Shelva married Charles Smith April 29, 1999, he preceded her in death in 2013. She was a past member of Shiloh Community Church. Shelva was an excellent cook, loved playing Yahtzee with her sisters, and was a terrific Euchre player. Delores, Dorothy and Shelva were known as the"Snoop Sisters" Surviving are her children from first husband, Marvin Haney; Brenda (Chris) Hill of Ionia, Marvin Michael Haney of Ionia, Herman Daniel (Jackie) Haney of Orleans, Timothy Randolph (Tracie) Haney of Ionia and Tricia (Samuel) Montero of Ionia. Grandchildren; Shaun (Katie) Slayton, Keith Slayton (Bobbi Stencel) Shannon (Michael) Armock, Andrew (Ashley) Slayton, Chad (Rachael) Haney, Brittney (Randle) David, Dylan Michael Haney, Angela Haney (Andrew Torres), Christine (Chava) Haney-Galeno, Kyle (Nikki) Haney, Timothy (Cassandra) Haney, Dillon Haney (Taylor Erickson), Brook (Joe) Moore, Jamie (Morgan) Montero and Marissa (Travis) Montero-Grace, 26 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Dorothy Risner o Lowell, Donal (Barb) Patick foIonia, Delores (Dennis) Spitzley of Ionia, Lawrence (Shirley) Patrick of Clarksville and JoAnn (Dennis) Ervin of Ionia. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Marvin Haney and Sister Jewell Ritenburg. Funeral Services for Shelva will be held at Shiloh Community Church, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Noon with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11 am until the time of services, luncheon to immediately follow. Interment Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Belding at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
