Burdick, Kalamazoo passed away early Friday morning at Burgess Hospital an hour after admittance. She had resided at Kalamazoo the last two years but was a lifelong resident of the local area and a native of Sunfield township. She married David Smith in 1912 and he passed away in 1944. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Central Methodist church, the Blue Star Mothers Chapter Lake Odessa. Surviving are 3 sons, David and Lawrence. Lake Odessa and Dr. George Smith of Bloomfield Hills; a daughter Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) McKinley of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; a brother Horace Perkins of Hattiesburg, Miss. and two sisters, Mrs Ada Austin of Charlotte and Mrs. Georgia Yarbrough of Houston, Texas. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. Leon Manning of Grand Rapids officiated.
