Mrs. Etta M. Smith, 94, of Woodland, passed away Tuesday evening at the Barry 
County Medical Facility. He had been a patient of the Facility since October 
1968.

Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Barry County and was born in Castleton 
Township, the daughter of john and Mary (Porter) Wotring.

Her husband, S.W. Smith, passed away in 1946, two years after they moved to 
Woodland from their farm. A son, Casgo, passed away in 1952. She was a member of 
the United Brethren Church, Woodland for 80 years. 

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ward (Vada( Green of Woodland; one son, Paul of 
Rochester; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Smith reposes at the Pickens east Funeral Chapel, where funeral services 
will be held Friday at 1:30. Rev. George Speas will officiate, with burial in 
the Woodland Memorial Cemetery.
