                                  OBITUARY

Samuel Smith, son of George and Barbara Smith, was born in Sunfield township, 
Eaton county on the seventh day of March 1869, and died the 23rd day of 
September 1910 age 41 years 6 months and 17 days. His mother preceded him to the 
eternal world about three years ago.

The deceased as a boy was bright and active, but when about nine years of age 
suffered a severe sickness from which he never fully recovered and gradually 
lost strength of both body and mind, drifting finally into consumption as the 
more immediate cause of death. The deceased leaves behind an aged father, George 
Smith, Sr. of Woodbury, also three sisters, Mrs Fred Bowers, Mrs G.V. Hindinger 
and Mrs, John Scheiter, all of Woodbury and two brothers David Smith of Lake 
Odessa and George Smith Jr. of Woodbury, and other relatives and friends on the 
shores of time to fulfill their life's mission until their time comes. The 
funeral was held Sunday at the U.B.Church at Woodbury conducted by the Rev's 
Bergy and Stane and burial was made in Lakeside Cemetery.
