WAYNE): SENTINEL-STANDARD, Ionia, MI, ca October 23, 1984: 1) "Obituaries - IONIA - Isabelle F. Smith, 67, of Ionia died Monday evening at Ionia County Memorial Hospital. Born in Ionia Jan. 15, 1917, she was the daughter of Asa and Carrie Hubbell Treynor and lived in her youth in the Orleans area. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1935. She was married Oct. 22, 1959 (l939, per lib), in Orleans to Wayne C. Smith and they made their home in Ionia most of their married life. She was a member of Ionia First Christian Church, the Ionia Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, and the Ionia Needlecraft Club. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Dale and harry, at home; a daughter, Mrs. John (Caroline) McKinnon of Greenville; four grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marian Whitford of rural Belding. A brother, Harry Treynor, and a sister, Cleo Blanche Treynor preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Leddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine of Ionia First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Michigan Heart Association, in care of the funeral home." 2) "IONIA: Funeral services for Isabelle F. Smith, 67, of Ionia, who died Monday, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Leddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating. The organist was a niece, Bonnie Albert of Belding. Burial was in Easton Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ted Albert, Sr., Ted Albert, Jr., Edward Albert, Tom Treynor, Dan Lake, and Arnold Batchelder. Following graveside services, lunch was served to family and friends at the First Christian Church dining room." 3) "CARD OF THANKS - WE WOULD like to thank Doctor Buck, Doctor Thangamani, nurses in the Intensive Care, ETT Ambulance, Emergency Room staff, Mr. and Mrs. Don Leddick, Reverend Valentine, Bonnie Albert, and all who were so kind at the time of the loss of our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Isabelle F. Smith. Also thanks to the ladies of the First Christian Church and Eastern Star who prepared the luncheon served after the service, and to all who sent cards, food, flowers and memorials.
