Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs.March 25, 1954

DANIEL SMITH DIED SATURDAY

Daniel Smith, 88, assed away last Saturday afternoon in the Ionia Convalescent 
Home.

Mr.Smith was born and lived all his life on the same farm in Sunfield Township. 
His parents were Jacob and Sophia Smith. In 1899 he married Hannah Schuler, who 
passed away in 1919.

Survivors are two nieces, Mrs.Clyde Walton of Nashville, and Mrs.Arthur Statsick 
of Lake Odessa; one nephew, Harold Smith of Lake Odessa, one grand niece and one 
grand nephew.

Funeral services were held last Tuesday afternoon at Mapes Funeral Home in 
Sunfield. Rev.Arthur Burch officiated.Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake 
Odessa.
