          LUCY LUTHERIA SMITH

   LAKE ODESSA - Mrs. Lucy Lutheria (Welch) Smith, 80 of 823 Fifth Ave. Lake Odessa
died March 15, at 
Pennock Hospital, Hastings.

   She was born Aug. 29, 1902 in Sunfield, the daughter of Perry and Lucy (Bishop)
Welch.

   She attended Lake Odessa schools and lived most of her life in the Lake Odessa
area.

   She married Boyd Stockford in Lake Odessa. He died in 1952. She married Raymond
Smith in 1958. He died 
in 1970.

   She is survived by one daughter , Mrs. Ronald (Uyrdas) McLeod of Lake Odessa, two
step sons; Raymond 
Smith Jr. of Fremont and Dr. Bruce Smith of Newport, Calif.; two sisters-in-law,
Mrs. Myrtie Welch of Sunfield 
and Mrs. Alton (Dione) Manley of Lake Odessa; two grandchildren and two great
grandchildren and five step 
grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral
Chapel. The Rev. Randall Kohl's 
officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Pickens-Koops Funeral
Chapel in Lake Odessa.
