                              SMITH

Willard Allen "Bill" Smith aged 58 of Saranac passed away January 27, 2023, 
after a courageous battle with Cancer.Bill was born October 10 1964 in Ionia the 
son of Richard Arthur and Jewell Elaine (Pringle) Smith.

He attended Saranac Community Schools graduating with the Class of 1982. After 
school Bill lived in Florida and Tennessee before coming back home to Saranac in 
2018 to be with family and friends.He was always known to be a hard worker. Bill 
loved playing and watching sports, washer toss, partying with his friends and 
was an avid University of Michigan Fan.

Surviving Bill is his Mother Jewell Smith of Saranac. Stepsons; Chris (Julie) 
Slocum of Ionia, Nick Slocum of Ionia, and Joe Slocum of Florida. Sister; Julie 
Smith, Diane Smith and Sheryl Smith all of Saranac. Grandsons; Skylar and Ethan 
Slocum and several nieces and  nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Richard, brothers Patrick and Ricky 
and niece Shawna Gould.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life with be at the Saranac 
American Legion on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 306 PM. Those wishing may 
make memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements in care
