                               Wilbur E.Smith

Wilbur E.Smith, 68 died suddenly Dec. 9, at home in Arcadia,Calif. Funeral 
services were held Dec.12 at the Methodist church of the Good Shepherd with 
burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mr.Smith was a native of Carson City,Mich., and as a boy came to Belding with 
his parents, Mr. and Mrs.Justin Smith. when his father died, he lived with his 
grandparents, Mr.and Mrs.Edwin Smith of Chadwick. He worked around Chadwick and 
Orleans until enlisting in WW I and upon returning lived in Belding until 
several years ago when he and his wife moved to California.

He was a member of the Methodist church of the Good Shepherd, the American 
Legion, the Masons and the Shrine.

Survivors are his wife, Alice; one brother; six sisters and several relatives.
