Hasting's Reminder - Saturday March 9, 2024

Phyllis Montague Smith

Phyllis Montague Smith, passed away in her sleep on Friday,Feb. 23, 2024 at 
their home in Vashon, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruth Montague.Phyllis grew 
up in Lake Odessa and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1966. She was also 
a graduate of Michigan State University.

Phyllis was a very social person.She was a cheerleader throughout High School, a 
life-guard at the Jordan Lake Beach and a member of the choir and MYF at Central 
United Methodist Church. Phyllis loved to dance and sing.

Phyllis is survived  by her husband,Robert, daughter Meridith Cleland Salinas 
(Conrad); son, Jarod Cleland; granddaughters, Kaelyn and Jordan and sisters, 
Margaret Powers and Mary Montague Flannery (Patrick).

Her service will be held April 20, 2024 in Vashon, WA.
