Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat. August 24, 2024

              SMITH

Calvin Arthur Smith aged 81 of Ionia,MI passed away July 24, 2024. He was born 
on October 23, 1942, in Ionia, the son of Arthur and Mary (Scheiern) Smith.

Calvin attended Saranac High School graduating with the class of 1961. He 
graduated from Michigan State University and enjoyed a successful career 
teaching in the Adrian area. He enjoyed genealogy, gourmet cooking and 
woodworking. He was a accomplished gardener and enjoyed raising Canaries.

Surviving Calvin are hi life partner, William R.Coffey of Ionia. Children 
Amanda, Amber and Zachary. Sister Diane Smith-Adams(Roland Self) of Saranac as 
well as his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his 
parents and brothers Vincent Earl Smith and Daniel Kent Smith.

Cremation hs taken place.Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
