The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, February 16, 1914
Sarah M. Wolf, aged 78, died February 9 at her home in Orange.  She was born 
in Hope, New Jersey in 1836, and was married to George W. Smith of Hope in 
1857.  They came to Michigan in 1869 and cleared the farm in South Ionia that 
has always been their home.  She leaves four children and an aged husband to 
mourn her loss. The burial was in Balcom cemetery.  Rev. Hansen officiated.
