Mrs. Hattie Smith, 71, formerly of Ionia, died Tuesday morning at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Mary Hyland of Bay City.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; three daughters, Miss Ruth A. Smith of New

York state, Mrs. Betty Bly of Detroit, and Mrs. Hyland of Bay City, and nine 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Bay City at one o'clock Thursday, December 24. 
Burial will take place at Highland Park cemetery in Ionia at five o'clock Thursday 
with Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiating.
