Sentinel-Standard - Monday, May 3, 1971

Mabel E. Smith, 77, former resident of Ionia, died Saturday at her home  in
Detroit.

She was born September 28, 1893, the daughter of Starr and Ida Alvord.

She is survived by one son, John of California; five grandchildren and 10 great 
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, N. Alvord Smith.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Highland Park cemetery.

Until Tuesday the body will be at Kaul funeral home in St. Clair Shores.
