The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, April 3, 1951
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Smith, 80, of Ionia Rote 2, who died Friday 
at the Eckert Convalescent Home were conducted by the Rev. R. A. Rook at St. 
John’s Lutheran church at 3 p.m. Monday.  These services were preceded by 
prayer services at 2:30 p.m. at Myers funeral home.

Bearers were four grandsons, William Martin, Lloyd Smith, Robert Smith and 
Francis Mileski.  Interment was in Highland Park cemetery.

Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen, Mr. 
and Mrs. Frank Allen, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davenport and family of Goodrich, 
Mrs. Bertha Blanck of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Wayne, Mr. and 
Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Howell, Mrs. Reta Sunn and Mr. and Mrs. William Martin of 
St. Johns, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith of Portland and Miss Yvonne Smith of 
Hastings.
