The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, October 6, 1961
Burr Smith, 89, died at 4 o’clock Friday morning in Ionia County Memorial 
hospital where he had been a patient several weeks.  He was born in Bushnell 
township, Montcalm county, and had resided in Lyons the past 12 years.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Electa Herschell of Belmont, California, 
and Mrs. Earl Livingston of Flint, and nieces and nephews in the area.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Myers funeral home in Ionia.  
Burial will be at Palo cemetery.
