The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, November 7, 1962
Mark Richard Smith, 2½-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith of route 
four, Ionia, died at his home Tuesday.  He was born in Ionia January 28, 1960.

Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Michael; four sisters, Sharon, 
Linda, Mary and Pamela; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Smith 
of Ionia, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lola Fulton of Lansing.

Funeral service will be conducted at Neller funeral home in Portland Thursday 
at 1:30 p.m. with burial at Portland cemetery.  The Rev. Fr. Julius Ammon will 
officiate.  Bearers will be Daniel Wirth, William Wirth, Roy Fulton and Jack 
Cahill.
