The death of Mrs. Stoel J. Smith Friday, October 6, was a sad one, she gave 
her life in giving life to her babe no greater sacrifice could be made.  
Nellie Bentley was married to Mr. Smith in June 1910, she came here from 
England about four years ago and has proved to be a most noble woman.  The 
best medical skill and nursing proved unavailing in her case.  The babe, Stoel 
Bentley Smith, still lives. 

Impressive funeral services were held at Greens Church Sunday, Rev. Maxwell 
officiating, with many friends and neighbors present.  At the cemetery a large 
number of her English friends sang an appropriate hymn.

Mr. Smith wishes to thank all for their help and sympathy in this hour of his 
great bereavement.  He with the motherless little one will reside with his 
daughter, Mrs. William Hulbert.
