Smith, 66, who was found dead at her Palo home Thursday evening. Ionia county sheriff, Peter Van Vleck, and coroner, Dale Kauffman investigated and attributed death to a coronary attack. Mrs. Smith was born December 1, 1896 in Sidney township, Montcalm county and had been a resident of Palo most of her life. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. William E. McClow. She was a member of Methodist church of Palo and the widow of Gorham Smith who died in 1952. Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Pearl Lee Smith of Detroit; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Goldie Tauner, Mrs. Sylvia Vibber and Mrs. Leona Gibson of Ionia. The body will be at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan until time for the service and burial will be at Palo cemetery. The Rev. Harvey Johnson will officiate.
