The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, July 6, 1903


Mrs. Samuel L. Smith of Eaton Rapids, mother of Frank L. Fuller, keeper at 
State Reformatory, died July 3, and remains arrived here on the 12:50 train 
today, attended by the husband, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Fuller and daughter of 
Elkhart, Mrs. Mary Whipple of Constantine, Mrs. Martha Malcomson of Owosso, 
all near relatives.  Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lybarker of Caledonia were also here.  
Interment was in Balcom cemetery.

Deceased was an early settler and long time resident in this county.  She was 
formerly Mrs. Albion Fuller, and with her husband were pioneer farmers in 
Berlin township, clearing up much of the land which now comprises the A. A. 
Ellis farm, west of the Michigan Asylum.
