The Portland Observer, Thursday, September 26, 1912

The remains of Eugene Smock, who died in the county house Wednesday afternoon, 
were brought to Portland on the noon train today (Thursday) and interred in 
the Danby cemetery.  Mr. Smock was born in Genesee county, N.Y., 57 years ago, 
and had been an inmate of the county home for about 13 years.  Dan Martin, of 
Danby, is a brother-in-law of deceased.
