Ionia County News - Thursday, Feb. 12, 1925

Mrs. A.M. Smoke was buried at Lake Odessa last Thursday afternoon from the old 
hoe just north of the village. Mr. Smoke died about a year ago. They were old 
pioneer residents of Lake Odessa and were highly respected people. She leaves two 
daughters, Mrs. Chris Grieble and Mrs. Cora Schaus. Rev. J.C. Cook preached the 
funeral sermon and Leon Gilson and George Kart sang, accompanied on the piano by 
Mrs. Pearl Gilson.
