Services Held for Virginia May Snavely

Mrs. Virginia May Snavely, 84, passed away early Monday at the Methodist Home at 
Chelsea.

A native of Nebraska, she was the widow of Rev. Ira Snavely, who passed away May 
14, 1964 at the Methodist Home, where they had resided for the past five years. 
They were former residents of Route 1, Vermontville.

Rev. and Mrs. Snavely served pastorates in Indiana, Colorado, Nebraska and 
Michigan.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Gladys) Welch of Jackson, a former local 
resident' three sons, Rev. Lyle Snavely of Glasgow, Ky., Dale of Nappanee, Ind., 
and Duane of Rte. 1, Vermontville; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in Sunfield cemetery.
